30 Day Challenge = Success & A Giveaway

Today marks my 30th post, or 30th day blogging. If you’ve been with me from the beginning, or gone back in time to get caught up, you remember my very first post that talked about the 30 day challenge (read it here).

This has been an awesome journey, and I’m excited to announce that I plan to continue with blogging…both this blog AND starting a professional blog related to my field, mental health (this one isn’t up and running yet, but it will be, hopefully soon, and I’ll have a ribbon cutting ceremony of sorts here when it’s time).

I’ve met some amazing blog world friends while on this journey, and reconnected with some old friends who stumbled upon my blog, read, enjoyed, and let me know how much they loved the experience. What an honor!

Thanks to all of you for supporting my efforts. I am truly bless and LOVE you all!

Completely switching gears here.

A lil somethin’ about me.

I’ve been told I have ‘grandma hobbies’. I’m told that most people my age don’t enjoy cooking, cleaning, gardening, canning, golfing, etc. Maybe they don’t. Many of my friends (my age) do, so when I hear this I have trouble believing it.

Anyway, I’ve recently stumbled upon a hobby I really enjoy. Counted cross-stitch. My mother has made some of the most beautiful pieces over the years and she taught me how to do it, and how to do it right.
Here is my latest creation:

He turned out awesome – minus the terrible photography and all the hoop marks that I’ve yet to iron out, of course!

Pictures don’t do it justice, obviously. This is such a tedious, time consuming craft, but a finished project is breath taking. And something I’m always so proud of.

Okay, okay, so you’re probably thinking “Giveaway? Did you mention something about a giveaway? What about this giveaway?”.

In celebration of my 30th post, and finishing the 30 Day Challenge strong I am hosting a giveaway!!

Here’s the scoop: While I’m not giving away the larger Santa pictured above I am giving away a smaller scale Christmas ornament that I just finished stitching.

Isn’t he awesome too?

So, here’s how the giveaway will work. Once I reach 75 Followers, I will draw a name at random and that person will be the winner.

Easy Pesy Cheddar Cheesey!

I don’t know why I said that. It’s like my fingers have a mind of their own. Strange. Back to the issue at hand…

A “Follower” is someone who has signed up to follow my blog either on the reader of their WordPress Blog or via email.

Signing up to follow via email is simple. See the box at the top, right of my blog page? Enter your email address & click the button!

Sign up to follow (if you haven’t already), spread the word, share my blog with your friends and ask them to sign up.

Everyone likes a giveaway, right? And even if you’re not “in” to this particular giveaway item, it would make a wonderful gift for someone. I think handmade, one of a kind items make the best gifts.

Looking forward to another 30 Days of blogging.

Wishing you all a fabulous & safe weekend!
